Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli has revealed his dream of playing for Italy at World Cup 2010.

There have been calls for him to return to La Nazionale following his good performances for the Rosanero. Miccoli is open to the idea, but he is well aware of the difficulties involved in convincing coach Marcello Lippi.

“Going back to the national team would be a dream, but I am only thinking about the reality,” He told La Domenica Sportiva.

“I don’t want to be illuded. My name has not been around La Nazionale for quite some time now.

“It would be fantastic nevertheless.”

Miccoli has won 10 caps for La Nazionale, scoring two goals.
