Michigan got a big boost on national signing day when five-star athlete Demar Dorsey (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Boyd Anderson) committed to the Wolverines over Florida State and a host of other programs.

Dorsey, a longtime Florida commit, made an official visit to Ann Arbor on the weekend of Jan. 15. He and the Gators parted ways last week.

Michigan’s class, which currently ranks No. 21 nationally, should get climb up the rankings with Dorsey. He is the fourth prospect from Florida that the Wolverines have as part of this class. Wide receiver Ricardo Miller transferred to Pioneer High in Ann Arbor from Dr. Phillips in Orlando. Safety Marvin Robinson (Eagle Lake, Fla./Lake Region) and defensive tackle Richard Ash (Pahokee, Fla./Pahokee) are the others from the Sunshine State.

This was a major pickup for Rich Rodriguez and staff this late in the process.
